Game Recap

Shelbyville’s season came to an end after it fell 4-1 to Greenfield in the Sectional finals. The Golden Bears struck first when Trae Hassebroek found Tyce Taylor open in the middle of the box. Greenfield equalized not too long after, and right before halftime the Cougars found the back of the net with a perfectly placed shot from distance. The injury bug hampered Shelbyville’s chances of a comeback with Hassebroek coming off in the first half with a knee injury and starting midfielder Tim Clark being limited with a quad issue. Despite the scoreline, Nick Amos had a tremendous day in the net, finishing with 17 saves.

It was a great season for the Bears, who finished 12-7 overall and third in the HHC.
