Shelbyville News · 2020-2021 Fall Athletic Start Dates and Times

The Shelbyville High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the dates and times for the first practices of the fall season.  Listed below are locations, dates and times for individual sport practices.

We value the health and safety of our student-athletes and coaches and ALL student-athletes and coaches are required to wear a mask when entering the school. Once in the weight room/gym masks can be removed IF social distancing can take place. Outside practices will require masks IF social distancing cannot take place.  Masks are required in the training room.

 Reminder: every student-athlete must have the following paperwork signed and on file BEFORE their first day of practice.

  1. Parents/Guardians and student athletes must be signed up on Final Forms and ALL forms must be signed by parent/guardian and student-athlete.
  2. If you DID NOT have an IHSAA physical on file at SHS/SMS for the 2019-2020 school year, you will need to get one prior to Monday August 3rd.  You may access the IHSAA Physical  form here  PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL EVALUATION FORM (PPE)
  3. If you DID have an IHSAA physical form on file at SHS/SMS for the 2019-2020 school year and answer “NO” to all questions on the IHSAA History and Consent Form, that physical will be good for the 2020-2021 school year.  ALL athletes must have an updated IHSAA History and Consent form filled out and signed to use their 2019-2020 physical for 2020-2021.  You can either print and upload your filled out form to Final Forms OR bring it with you on August 3rd.  If we do not have the IHSAA History and Consent form on file you will not be able to participate in practice.  The IHSAA History and Consent form can be found here

*** If you answer “YES” to any of the questions on the IHSAA History and Consent Form you must provide a NEW physical signed by a physician or nurse practitioner for 2020-2021.

Monday August 3rd – 3:30pm-6:00pm @ Football Field

Volleyball-Coach Andrew Fuller:

Monday August 3rd – 6:30am-8:00am, 5:00pm-7:00pm @ Garrett Gym

Girls Soccer– Coach Chelsea Dourson:

Monday August 3rd – 4:00pm-6:00pm – @ practice field (west of middle school)

Boys Soccer– Coach Ben Purvis:

Monday August 3rd– 4:30pm-6:00pm @ practice field at Hendricks Elementary School (across from parking lot)

Coed Cross Country– Coach Whitney Campbell:

Monday August 3rd – 6:45am-8:00am- @ outside football stadium

Girls Golf– Coach Jason Bass:

Monday August 3rd – 4:00pm-6:00pm @ Rivers Edge Golf Course
