Girls Soccer Honor Teachers and Win Big vs. Whiteland

It was a special game for Shelbyville Girls Soccer vs. the Whiteland Warriors on Saturday. The Bears played their best game of the season in honor of influential teachers in their lives. At halftime, those teachers were recognized for their positive influence on our players and the Bears played strong for their teachers today. Freshman

Boys Tennis Place Second at Whiteland Invite

The varsity boys finished 2nd at the Whiteland Invitational. In the first round Shelbyville beat Jennings County 4-1. #2 singles Austin Dwenger, #3 singles Austin Perry, #1 doubles Layton Stieneker & Matthew Bunton and #2 doubles TJ Sherwood & Caden Tackett won. In the second round Shelbyville lost to #26 ranked Whiteland 1-4. #1 doubles

Cross Country Results

Saturday morning the SHS Cross Country teams raced at the Riverview Health Invite in Carme.  The Boys finished 12th, Girls finished in a tight race for 11th. Girls Soccer Beat Greensburg

Shelbyville Girls Soccer came ready to play in last night’s game against the Greensburg Pirates. Sophie Parker led the attack for the Bears scoring 3 goals for a hat-trick in the first half of the game, giving the Bears a 3-0 lead at the half. Ava Mummert had 2 assists to Parker for her goals. In

Boys Soccer Defeats New Castle

The boys picked up another HHC win vs. New Castle on Thursday night 6-1.  Oscar Hernandez had a hat trick (3 goals) and the Bears cruised to a road victory.  Sam Price and Brayden Basey scored goals for the Bears.  This makes them 4-1 in the HHC with an away match on Monday with Greenfield-Central.

Girls Golf ends regular Season

Shelbyville (192) was defeated by Greenfield-Central (163) at Rivers Edge on Thursday Night.  Karaline Richards (42) led Shelbyville with a career low score.  Kaylee Tackett (45), Kate Linville (47), Madison Monroe (58), and Lanie Stephens (61) rounded out the scoring for Shelbyville.  Shelbyville’s next match is Monday, September 21, 2020.  They will be competing in
