In the SHS Invitational championship, Shelbyville squared off against Anderson. The game featured two contrasting styles. Shelbyville controlled the possession while Anderson looked to counterattack. Early in the game, Anderson won the battle when they got around the Bears’ defense. Kaleb Schaf made the initial save but Anderson was able to pounce on the rebound. Shelbyville regained momentum through Oscar Hernandez, Evan Witte, and Brock Pitman controlled the ball through the midfield. Eddie Carrizalez was able to fire off a left-footed shot that went top shelf to equalize. Just before halftime, Nolan Parker was able to grab what was ultimately the game-winner. Shelbyville dominated the game, but was unable to find the back of the net. The Bears outshot Anderson 22-6.
