Shelbyville’s JV team is full of young talent and grit. Despite only having a few subs, they stayed hungry and played hard against the Grizzly Cubs. Daiki Fukuzawa created several chances in the first half by making runs behind the Franklin back line, and was unlucky to not have a goal or two by the break. Christian Haas was the first to find the net this season, as he made a great run to get one on one with the Franklin keeper. Fukuzawa finally made his breakthrough in the second half when his shot ricocheted in off the post. Despite the scoreline, several players made impressive debuts. One such player was Ethan Hazelwood, who was playing his first ever game as a keeper. Hazelwood made several big saves and was aggressive coming out for the ball.
