Shelbyville HS Cross Country teams competed at Plainfield Relays in a Hokem Karem this morning. The varsity members ran a 3xmile partner relay (6 miles total per pair). Leading the way for the Lady Bears in stellar fashion was the duo of Macey Robbins and America Leon, who not only finished 10th place overall (our school's best placing ever at this meet) but also broke the school record by nearly a minute, previously set in 2024! Boys were led by Eden Ortega & Shia Veach, who finished 20th with a time of 31:52.57, only about 27 seconds from the school record, and now our 2nd fastest boys' time ever. Top Results - Girls finished 9th as a team: Macey Robbins/America Leon - 38:29.96 - 10th -**New school record by 57 seconds!** Anne Marie Fansler/Kat Seal - 46:35.67 - 42nd Boys results had many errors and are still being corrected, but our top 2 pairs' results are correct: Eden Orega/Shia Veach - 31:52.57 - 20th - 2nd fastest time in school history Anderson Mollenkopf/Kendryk Pike - 35.26.98 - 46th (this pair improved by 1:17 from last year!) JV runners competed in an open 2-mi race.
