The Shelbyville girls and boys cross country teams competed well against fierce competition at Plainfield Relays this Saturday in their first meet of the season. Our top relay pair in each gender each ran close to 2 minutes faster than our top pairs did last year! The boys were led by Logan Reinhart (Jr) and Shia Veach (So), who placed 30th in the varsity, 6-mile partner relay race (hokum karem), with a time of 33:09. The girls were led by Aerin Garcia-Santiago (Jr) and Macey Robbins (Fr), who placed 21st, with a time of 39:26. In other relay and open JV 2-mile results, our teams showed an overall improvement from this time last year.
